With the exception of our feelings about the worth of THE DARK KNIGHT as a best picture nominee (you probably remember how I predicted it would win best picture--I thought it worthy) I&#039;m with you all the way about the ten nominees, song nominees, honorary Oscars given in November (what a semi-insult!), etc.  Bullseye, Buddy.

Actually they could have gone one more year with ten best picture nominees.  1944 was a good year--maybe if there had been ten spots LAURA, MEET ME IN ST. LOUIS, LIFEBOAT, COVER GIRL and either THE MIRACLE OF MORGAN&#039;S CREEK or HAIL THE CONQUERING HERO (take your pick) would have been in competition for the top prize.</description>
